Akanksha Muralidharan

founder of NobleKarma

Hi! I am Akanksha Muralidharan, an IB student studying at Aditya Birla World Academy, and I am the founder of NobleKarma. I live by the motto: “We make a living by what we get but we make a life by what we give”.  I enjoy baking, dancing and sketching amongst other things and I am a Black Belt Dan II in Karate. I have been affiliated with The Shiamak Davar Dance Institution, Muskurahat Foundation and the Chinmaya Mission in the past. I have also worked with Ujaas, an organization that focuses on menstrual health and education. I belong to a family where community service is prioritized and from a very young age, I have been participating in charitable work. For one such act of social service, I raised money by crowdfunding and built toilets for girls and this was recognized when I was nominated and shortlisted for The Rashtriya Pradhana Mantri Baal Puraskar Award, awarded by the President of India. The nomination for such a prestigious award was an eye opener and it motivated me to continue giving back to the society. With a vision to make the society a safer, healthier and better place to live, I founded the NobleKarma organization.

Being a karate Black Belt II, I was eligible to teach white belts karate and I put my qualification to good use when I taught white belts some basic self-defense blocks, kicks and other techniques. Being a black-belt, I believe Karate teaches you how to be alert, bold and strong.
